Mark co-founded Activate Group in 2015 and has recently moved into a Non-Executive Director role. Mark formed his first company, AGS Risk Solutions, in 1999 and since then has invested in and held executive roles at several successful organisations.
As part of the Board, Mark uses his extensive business experience, entrepreneurial mindset, and wide-ranging claims and insurance experience to help set the strategic direction of the business.

Mark co-founded Activate Group in 2015 and is a highly experienced and well-known figure in the UK insurance and automotive industries. Mark is MBA qualified and led strategic operations at board level with Equity Insurance Group, Swinton Insurance (Covea Group) and Insurance Australia Group amongst others.
Mark has considerable M&A experience and provides Activate Group with invaluable industry knowledge, relationships and strategic perspective.
Paul’s specialist knowledge and experience across the automotive, vehicle repair and insurance industries enables him to support the business on strategy, new projects, fundraising and mentoring. Paul is a specialist in integrated supply chain solutions, having had responsibility for a multi-billion insurance claims spend across multiple products.
He has held leading roles at some of the country’s best known automotive and insurance brands including JLR, BMW, Norwich Union/Aviva PLC and Tesco Insurance.
Appointed to the role of CEO in 2018, Hannah has a strong track record in financial management and has led Activate Group’s growth with a clear focus on people, service, and technology.
With accounting qualifications in CIMA and AAT, Hannah has an intimate knowledge of financial control standards within both private and stock market listed company environments.
Lucy was appointed to the Activate Group Board in 2019 to lead the financial management of the Group, including tracking cash flow, financial reporting and managing financial risks.
Lucy is ACA qualified and has more than 11 years’ experience working in financial roles at Manchester City Football Club and at accountancy and consultancy firm, Grant Thornton.
Danielle leads the People function and is responsible for ensuring that the organisational structure reflects the business’ strategic priorities. Danielle is passionate about building team member engagement and developing talent within the business.
With a masters-level CIPD qualification, Danielle has extensive experience in senior HR roles across the insurance, automotive, media and consumer sectors.
Jamie set up sopp+sopp over two decades ago, and positioned the company as a leading fleet accident management specialist, handling thousands of claims a year for many well-known UK brands.
As Executive Director, Jamie provides strategic direction, an unparalleled depth of industry knowledge and a passion for developing brand and customer experience.
