Introduction
This statement is published in line with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It outlines the steps taken by Activate Group Ltd and its group companies (Activate Group) to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chain.
This statement has been prepared in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and is our annual modern slavery and human trafficking statement for 2026.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Activate Group provides end-to-end collision management solutions to insurers, fleet providers, manufacturers and repairers. The group provides claims management to corporate and commercial fleets through sopp+sopp, and operates an approved nationwide repair network for personal lines insurance claims through Activate Collision Solutions. The business also supplies next-day parts and consumables through Activate Parts, runs its own body shop division, Activate Accident Repair, and delivers manufacturer paint and body programmes through Avant Consult.
Based in the UK, Activate Group employs almost 1,000 people, with two main offices in Halifax and Peterborough and repair centres across the country. Activate Group had an annual turnover of £175.26 million in the financial year ending September 2025.
To deliver these services, we work with a network of suppliers, including repair providers, hire companies and recovery agents in the UK.
Our Policy and Controls
Modern slavery, including slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking, is a crime and a serious violation of human rights. Activate Group has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and is committed to maintaining effective systems and controls to prevent it within our business and our supply chain.
We are dedicated to acting with integrity, fairness, and transparency in all of our business relationships, and we expect the same high standards from our suppliers and partners.
Team Member Policies and Practices
All team members are required to follow our internal policies that help prevent modern slavery. These include:
- Modern Slavery Policy
- Human Rights and Inclusion Policy
- Whistleblowing Policy
- Disciplinary Policy
- Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy
- Conflicts of Interest Policy
- Fraud Policy
Any changes to these policies are communicated internally, and team members are required to read and acknowledge them. Updated mandatory training is provided where necessary.
We have processes in place to support these policies, including:
- Pre-employment checks: All recruitment follows a structured process with the necessary background checks.
- Right to work and criminal records checks: We use a secure, third-party platform to manage these checks and ensure they are in place before employment commences.
- Pay and reward: We apply consistent, fair pay practices across the business and pay the Real Living Wage as a minimum to all our team members.
- Labour monitoring: We monitor how labour is used to ensure fair treatment.
- Induction: All new team members receive training on our policies and expectations.
- Policy access: Key policies are stored centrally, and team members confirm they have read and understood them.
- Training: Mandatory online training helps team members understand modern slavery and recognise warning signs.
- Community involvement: We continue to strengthen our corporate social responsibility by supporting local communities.
- Raising concerns: Team members can raise concerns confidentially through our Whistleblowing Policy and are encouraged to report any suspicion of modern slavery without fear of retaliation.
Supply Chain Oversights
We understand the importance of working only with suppliers who share our commitment to preventing modern slavery.
- All suppliers undergo a structured selection process that includes financial and business checks.
- We carry out an onboarding audit for new suppliers to assess their compliance with our standards.
- All suppliers must comply with relevant laws, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and this is detailed in their contract with us.
- We perform regular audits to assess supplier compliance and manage any risks.
The directors at Activate Group have oversight of modern slavery risk management and review and update this statement on an annual basis in line with the latest government guidance.
The Activate Group has an Environmental, Social and Governance Committee chaired by its Chief Marketing, People and Sustainability Officer. This Committee is responsible for reviewing and monitoring the modern slavery risks within the Group’s supply chain. The Group’s ESG compliance is audited on an annual basis by external auditors.
