Activate Group is further strengthening its leadership team with the appointment of Adrian Furness as Managing Director of its Motor Repair Network business.

Activate Group specialises in accident management services and partners with some of the country’s best-known fleets and insurers to service hundreds of thousands of claims a year.

Adrian has extensive senior leadership experience within the insurance industry, most recently as CEO of Covea UK where he demonstrated his passion for world class service and operational excellence. Prior to that, Adrian held the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Claims Director at Covea and its predecessor, Provident Insurance.

Hannah Wilcox, CEO of Activate Group said: “Adrian’s expertise and strategic focus will be invaluable as we build on the success of our Motor Repair Network business.

“Having led Covea’s UK business, Adrian has a deep understanding of the claims industry, and the current trends and challenges faced by insurers and brokers.

“He’ll be instrumental as we work towards our vision to be the transformational leader in accident management, offering data-driven, technology-led solutions, delivered by some of the most experienced and passionate people in the industry.”

Adrian said: “I’m stepping into the role of Managing Director for Motor Repair Network at a very exciting time. The more I get to know the business, the more impressed I am with the range and quality of its services and the capability of the team.

“My role is to develop these capabilities still further to create a market-leading proposition that combines technology and service excellence to deliver even greater value to the insurance industry – I can’t wait to get started.”

Adrian joins Activate Group at a time of significant growth. In 2019, the business announced investment in its own body shop division, Activate Accident Repair. It now has nine state-of-the-art repair centres across the UK, working alongside the Group’s approved repair network to offer dedicated capacity to its fleet and insurance partners.

The business has also significantly enhanced its digital claims offering with the development of intelligent ENOL and damage assessment apps to streamline the claims process.

Commenting on the appointment, Danielle Chruszcz, People Director at Activate Group said: “As our business grows, it’s important that our leaders build on the culture of innovation and teamwork that has driven our success so far.

“Adrian has a proven track record in creating high-performing teams, and a passion for developing talent within the organisation.

“We’re lucky to have a highly knowledgeable and dedicated team within Motor Repair Network, and I know that Adrian’s leadership will take them from strength to strength.”

Adrian will take up his new role on 2nd October.
